FAQ
How does the evening work?
From 6pm to 10pm, aufguss rituals take place every half hour in the large sauna. Each ritual is repeated twice to make sure there's plenty of space. Between rituals, you're free to take a plunge, grab a bite, enjoy a salt scrub in the small sauna, or just sit and unwind. The pace is yours.
When should I arrive?
Doors open at 5.30pm so you can get changed and settled. The first ritual starts around 6.15pm. There's no fixed entry time, so if you arrive later, just join in when you're ready.
Is this beginner-friendly?
Absolutely. No experience needed. Our sauna masters guide you through everything. Aufguss is about presence and enjoyment. Just follow the rhythm and relax.
What do I need to bring?
Two towels (one to sit on, one to dry off), flip flops, and swimwear. If you forget towels, Sweheat offers rentals on site.
What should I wear?
Swimwear is required until 8pm. After that, it becomes optional following continental traditions, but it's entirely up to you. Towels are always required in the sauna and should be large enough to fully cover the bench.
What exactly is an aufguss?
A guided sauna ritual. A sauna master pours water and essential oils onto hot stones, then uses towels to move waves of heat and aroma through the room. Each ritual has its own theme, music, and intensity.
Are there showers and changing areas?
You'll have access to changing facilities and outdoor rinse stations. We encourage rinsing before and between rounds. There are no indoor showers beyond the rinse stations.
Can I leave and come back?
The evening is yours. Skip a round, linger longer, or just relax between rituals. There's no set schedule you need to follow.
Is alcohol served?
Yes. Cold drinks, herbal teas, and alcohol are available from our nearby partner bar. We recommend saving drinks for after your sauna rounds.
